The New Zealand Protestant League
The New Zealand Protestant League (NZPL) was founded in 1982. It is a fellowship of Christian churches and individuals throughout New Zealand that hold to the Protestant spirit of the Confessions and Articles of Religion of the historic Christian churches in their protest against the pretensions of the Roman Catholic system of religion as codified in its official conciliar documents and authoritative pronouncements. The NZPL is an organ of the New Zealand Fellowship of Christian Churches and produces Protestant literature and supports Protestant events throughout the country. NZPL publishing is done by New Zealand Protestant Publications whose principal print outlet is the monthly journal The New Zealand Protestant. The training institution of the NZPL is the NZ Protestant Bible School which provides Diploma of Theology and Graduate of Theology level qualifications for Protestant Christian ministers. The NZPL is in fellowship with a number of international organisations with the same ideals and purposes.
